My relationship with the internet comes and goes. I think it’s kind of rad that I get to be alive during a time when there’s all this new shit that’s super-relevant and changing things—like YouTube, which made that little kid from Canada ridiculously famous. Who knows if all of this technology is healthy or unhealthy, or what the fuck it all means, but it’s fascinating and I’m curious about it.

regrets.

that 4pm skinny caramel latte was the worst idea ever.

no caffeine after lunch. drink water, fool.

multitasking

i needed to do two things. run and get laundry quarters.

so, i ran to get quarters!

brilliant.

but i am still slow. and i was going to go to the far away grocery for quarters, but it got rather cold. so i ended up going only two miles. better than nothing.

plus i already got in a 20 minute walk when my bus driver was a jerk and missed my connection. no problem. i can walk 13 blocks—you’re lucky i left early dude.

i’m trying to be positive and upbeat. i skipped monday. and it’s above zero.

here comes the sun.

today was the worst food day of my life.

actually breakfast was. don’t get gas station breakfast. you’re better off starving.

the rest of the day would have been fine…i was just over my calories from the start….and didn’t gym it up because of a night meeting.

and now it’s blizzarding. i can feel the wind blowing in my freaking bedroom.

i hate north dakota tonight.

hurry up, little foam roller

i ordered a foam roller on amazon earlier tonight because my back has been so tight lately, despite daily stretching. i’m hoping that nightly roller-massages will help things.

i would really like to sleep through the night again, instead of waking up full of knots at 2:30 in the morning.

the elderly of my building were really interested in my run.

  • grandma 1: how far did you go?
  • me: a little better than two miles.
  • grandma 2: well, did you run or just walk really fast?
  • me: i ran.
  • old guy: i bet you sleep really well.
  • me: ...
  • grandma 1: aren't you afraid to be out at night alone?
  • me: we live in north dakota. i'm more likely to get eaten by a wolf, than anything else.
  • grandma 2 (to grandma 1): she's probably right.

twogirlsprove:

so, i broke up with my boyfriend monday night. that sucks.

yesterday was an emotional snow day…my boss told me i could go home, and after an hour of crying in my office, i took her up on it. i cried, watched tv, let me friends tell me i’m awesome, and slept.

i’m actually exhausted today. and a…

hurts so good

last night i was going to go for a run, but the ups man didn’t drop off my new [to-die-for] running shoes until 6pm, and then i was off to supper with 2 of my brothers and my mom.

because my mom rocks, she agreed to do a livingroom workout with me, so i pulled up one of sarahfit’s ab workouts. based on my ab soreness today, i would hire her if i didn’t live half a country away.

she’s not messing around.

i’m going to try some of her other workouts this weekend.

because it’s a balmy 25 degrees here on the tundra, i’m lacing up my new kicks and running outside tonight. it’s like 50 degrees warmer than my last outdoor run last saturday.

blue sparkle

i actually did my laundry yesterday.

and got groceries…which lead to the laundry doing. i got a roll of quarters and some dryer sheets, so i could take on the project.

i just noticed that my jeans smell excellent. (i thought it was me…nope. it’s my jeans.)

blue sparkle scented snuggle…

making monday a little more tolerable.

ignore the special look on my face.
i’d just run 5k across the tundra.
for real. -18 degrees.
first race, complete.
